Brian Rogers, OD
Raised on a small farm in a southern Kentucky county on the Tennessee border, Dr. Rogers considers Nashville home. After completing externships in a private ophthalmology practice setting, Veterans Affairs hospital, and Fort Knox military base, he graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2014. He then practiced in a corporate setting until a position for a mobile pediatric optometrist became available in Nashville in 2015.
In this paradigm, he encouraged a passion for treating underserved communities in Tennessee. However, as it is unfortunately the case, these practice modalities are difficult to sustain and he began working again with a corporate optometric facility. There again, he discovered the challenges faced when trying to merge corporate interests with patient care. So in 2017, he parted ways with profit-driven institutions to forge a new path.
His vision
To deliver the highest standard of care while prioritizing patients over profits. Past affiliations with corporate optometry revealed to him how patients’ well-being can become auxiliary to profits and that this mindset has invaded the private optometry space as well as optometric chains. In 2017, he founded Resolution Eye Care as a direct attempt to change the focus of eye care. Founded on ethical resolutions to treat all patients, all employees, and the whole community in a non-extractive, intentionally personal manner.
